The Pierides Foundation Archaeological Museum is one of the most important museums in Cyprus and home to preserved collections depicting Cypriot culture, right through the centuries. Its archaeological collection includes the various working of art and collections from the Roman, Byzantine and Middle Ages along with the Pierides Family House dating back to 1825. The museum displays collections from the main periods of Cypriot history.

The Larnaca Castle stands at the south end of 'Phoinikoudes' Corniche and was built around 14th century during the reign of James I. Erected in the shape of a square tower, it was rebuilt during the Ottoman rule. During the British era, it was used as a prison. The upper floor of the fort contains a small medieval museum and its courtyard is sometimes used for cultural events.

This museum exhibits artefacts and remains from Neolithic settlements of Choirokitia and Tenta when Larnaca was known as Kition to the Roman Era. The artefacts include sculptures, pottery and vase collections and some glass and clay ornaments from Roman times. The museum is linked with the Aphrodite Cultural Route.

This is a small but an interesting museum dedicated to the flora and fauna of Larnaca. All kinds of local insects, reptiles, birds, fossils, animals and rock formations are displayed here. One must visit the collection of insects of Cyprus as well as the collection of the endemic plants of the island.

The Kallinikeio Municipal Museum of Athienou shows the history of the area during the Late Bronze Age, from 1600-1050BC. The museum contains priceless archaeological artefacts of the monk Kallinikos Stavrovouniotis and art pieces from various benefactors over the years. The icons and mosaics from the Kepola brothers, George and Alkis are also on display.

The museum founded in 2007, is essentially based in a 1901 mansion for preserving, researching and promoting Cypriot Folklore Tradition. Costas Kaimakliotis Folklore Museum consists of a Sun Room, Family Chamber, Weaving Hall, Domestic Appliances Hall, Farming and Raising Animals. Besides the collection, visitors can also witness the traditional re-enactment of the traditional wedding ritual in the Hall of the Social and Cultural Traditions of Aradippou.

In the centre of Larnaca and housed in a 1927 mansion, the Kyriazis Medical Museum exhibits the healing, health and medical history and practices during the Middle Ages and Ottoman Period. It showcases old books, pharmaceutical furniture, surgical instruments and even an X-ray machine from that time.

The Kato Drys Bee & Embroidery Museum features over 1000 exhibits that show the life of a village. It is put up in a 300-year-old residence, and the rich historical artefacts include information related to bees and beekeeping, old farming, household equipment, and furniture. You can watch the making of homemade bread products on a guided tour and enjoy time in the inner courtyard of the residence. It is also known as the Local Agricultural Museum of Kato Drys.
