Avakas Gorge Nature Trail
A road trip that nature lovers will enjoy is heading to the Avakas Gorge Nature Trail which is approximately 150 km (31 miles) away from Larnaca. Taking over 2 hrs to drive, this hiking experience is perfect for getting your steps in. From wildflowers and fig trees to oak trees around the natural terrain, the trail can be difficult for the inexperienced. Be sure to do your research before taking the trail. There are also small hiking groups if you prefer the company of a crowd.
Larnaca-Limassol
Limassol is on the southern tip of Cyprus island and is nearly halfway between Paphos and Larnaca, which makes it perfect if you're looking to spend a day or two soaking in the sun. Nearly 68 km (42 miles) of road will take 1 hr to drive. Stop by the mini villages and spend time collecting souvenirs, meeting locals and munching on fresh local cuisine. It will be an unforgettable experience!
Cedar Valley
Cedar Valley is located nearly 175 km (109 miles) away from Larnaca and will take you over 2 hrs 30 mins to get there. It's closer to Paphos, but the drive is worth it, especially if you love nature. The Cedar Valley, as the name suggests, is a valley deep inside Paphos Forest which houses an incredible 130,000 Cedar subspecies trees. It's lush & green during the summer but equally beautiful as fall rolls in.
Stavrovouni Monastery
Located on a rocky peak above sea level, the Stavrovouni Monastery is among the closest on the list of road trips you'll enjoy from Larnaca. The 40 km (25 miles) drive will take you no more than 45 mins, which means you can enjoy a day out with the family. The Greek monastery is considered to be among the oldest in the world. What makes this place a must-visit is that it contains a piece of the Holy Cross left by Saint Helena!
Larnaca-Paphos
Paphos is located in the southwest of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Temperate, beautiful and filled with historic attractions, the Larnaca-Paphos road trip is something you can't miss! The 135 km ( 84 miles) long stretch will take approximately 1 hr 30 mins, and longer if you stop by on the scenic drive to take some pictures. It's perfect for a short day trip or longer if you want the full experience of visiting a new city.
